Everything about Pat Mcmahon totally explainedPat McMahon (born May 28, 1953) is the former baseball coach for the Florida Gators. In his twelve seasons as a head coach, he's compiled a career record of 527-259-1. Prior to becoming the head coach of the Gators, he also served as the head coach of Old Dominion, and Mississippi State. He has appeared in two College World Series, in 1998, and 2005. In the 2005 College World Series, he led Florida to a national championship series, but ultimately lost to the Augie Garrido coached Texas Longhorns.
He has a wife names Sherrie. Together, they've a daughter, Logan, and a son, Wells.
He has made four Super Regional appearances: in 2000, 2001, 2004, and 2005. He has compiled eight 40-win seasons, and 13 30-win seasons, and received seven Coach of the Year awards.
On June 7, 2007, the University of Florida announced that McMahon had been fired.
On September 29, 2007, Baby-Bombers.com reported that McMahon had accepted a position with the New York Yankees and will also be the manager of the Staten Island Yankees for the 2008 season.
